Flowers & Light Box Links

It seems to me, here in my little world the Spring & Summer have gone by far to quickly.

June I purchased Doodlebug Chipboard Flower & Vase Project with

the idea that it would make a fun project for my Granddaughter's nursery.

Here it is the end of August and I have now just got around to completing this project!

Where has the time gone to ?

All in all though,I am happy that I finally was able to settle on the colors and it is now completed and will make its way into the baby nursery this weekend.

I have also been surfing the web reading up some tips & tutorials for creating your own light box to photograph your projects and layouts .
I have yet to create one for myself but hope that sometime thru the weekend I may have this project completed.
For now I am testing materials and ideas that will suit my taste & needs.

Here I used foam board using natural light,still to many shadows :) this is just a test for types of materials I would like for my box.

Challenge # 4 LO/Card

SURPRISE !!! I picked the layout ! :)

This is a combination challenge for "Am I a Scrap Addict" & "The Sisterhood of Scrap" Monday Challenge.

I figured what the heck....why not just complete this circle.
I used Aug.15 Sketch found at "Am I a Scrap Addicts Sketches" for this layout!



Our little tiny Granddaughter Addison !!
The Title idea came from her Grandfather,this is what he thinks her initials stand for!
The hidden tag holds her birth stats.

Challenge #6 Yellow, Red and Green

Options for Challenge # 6 a Card or layout using the colors red,yellow & Green.

Thought I would share a few more Pin Cushions that I created ,the weather has been so nice I just had to take myself out to the deck and enjoy the beautiful day...just a bit windy for paper,thought it would be a good time to finish up some of those stocking stuffers!

Challenge # 5 on "Am I Scrap Addict" Blogoversary Party is a layout or a card sketch to choose from for this challenge.

I decided to do the card sketch..I really need the practise ! and also the prize draw is some really nice Cardstock from StampinUp ..lol !

Blogoversary Challenge #2 Card Challenge

Challenge #2 on "Am I a Scrap Addict" Blogoversary Party.

Create 3 different occasion cards using only one sketch,generously provided by Dea.

This was fun & challenging ,but once the ideas began to flow I could see where I could use this card sketch in many different ways!

Found this great glitter paint by Poly mark at Walmart not a big name product but I am happy with the results it added to my cards and saving a few pennies is also a nice added bonus.

Thanks for the great sketch! Can not wait to see every ones creations!

"Am I a Scrap Addict"

Stepping out of the Comfort Zone

Well I took the plunge and submitted for a try at a Card Design Team spot that was posted on "Am I Scrap Addict" Blog.
Normally I do not pay to much attention to design team calls (I am horrible with posting on forums,usually a must requirement).

I really have a problem with creating cards, it is the small space that you have to create with that intimidates me.

Having participated in challenges of Deanne's and recognizing her love of paper crafting, I knew that this would be a fun and pressure free Design Team to be a part of .
Also would help me on my way to creating cards and enjoying it :) !

Happy to say,I will be part of the team that Deanne has put together using her sketches.

Excited to see all the different creations that will be showcased using "Am I Scrap Addict Sketches" .
Look forward to creating with the other team members chosen.

Addison Bernice

Making her debut 3 1/2 weeks early.
My little Grandaughter,arriving at 9:32 last night 5lbs 6oz 17 1/2 inches long!Perfect in every way! Baby Addison!

All is well with Mommy & Baby and Dad is holding on great!!

Still on cloud nine and hope to come down soon.
Has been nothing but a mountain of blessings the last couple of weeks and I am thankful!!
