It rather denotes a lack of courage."

Welcome Canvas

A little Canvas I have had sitting around for awhile in need of some play time.

Not so sure what I was going to do with it , had an idea here or there.
Settling on my original intent, to make a simple welcome greeting for my kitchen and the season.

With some inspiration from "Create & Decorate" April 2009 Magazine's Pattern Insert.
I used some images that I thought would work well for my project.

Springtime Stationary/ April Showers note card
flower images by Kim Klassen.

Used for the center flowers on my canvas, adding in my own bumble bees to give it a personal touch.

Also inspired by " Backyard Chicks"punch needle image by Whimsey Street Designs for my bird.
Even though the images where meant for an entirely different type of project than mine.
They just seemed to be the inspiration I needed to get started on this canvas.

I like the look of Primitive & Folk Art ,but have never really gave it a try until lately.
I find it to be fun and lighthearted and it also makes a blank canvas look less intimidating,
especially when paints are not my strongest area.
Happy Crafting and thanks for stopping by : )

Egg-cellent Easter Ideas

Preparing , for the Easter celebration would begin on Good Friday when I was a young girl,
a tradition that I have tried to carry over with my family.

Easter Egg coloring would be done on Friday evening and finished up by Saturday morning.
Making way for the preparation of any foods that may be made ahead.
The best dishes would be brought out and cleaned as well as the silver.
By the afternoon thoughts would go to the decorating of the table.
With my Grandmother offering up some fun ideas for the decorating .

Here are some links of Easter projects that I personally thought might be fun for the whole family to try.

First on the list is the decorating of the eggs.
Nicole Wozniak, creator of "Lumpy Page Designs"
has posted some fun tutorial projects this week on her blog , showing different techniques on decorating your Easter Eggs.

Some wonderful ideas from" Purple Trails "for those Easter Egg Hunt for the kiddies also some printable Easter games to keep the young ones busy while the finishing touches to the dinner and table are being added.
Jeanne Winters of "Inspiring Ideas "
Decorating your Holiday table with paper Mache Eggs.
Quick and easy project that adds such a nice touch to the Easter Celebration.

Andrea Walford from "Sunny Stampin"
Has the cutest idea and tutorial for a Center piece , would make a great companion for the Paper Mache Eggs.

a tutorial on how to create a rabbit fold for your Easter dinner napkins.

a quick and easy tutorial for dressing up candles for the Easter table with stamps , tissue paper and wax paper.
The end result looks very nice.

That's it for today..hope you all have a wonderful Celebration of the season !

Happiness

Addison, Seven Months old.

Happiness, is when you have Ink for your photo printer and the urge to scrap , all at the same time ! Woo...Hooo !

And of course my Sweet...Sweet Grand babies !

One more challenge completed for "Am I a Scrap Addict" Celebration Challenges.

Hoping, I may be able to squeeze one more in before the deadline tomorrow.

I just love the little flowers in this layout !
I read a mini tutorial in this months Craft N Things magazine and just had to make them .

I remember when I was a little girl we would make this type of paper flower in Arts and Crafts in school. What fun !! I always thought it made the best dandelions or mums !

Celebration Challenges

Before I ran out of Ink for my photo printer, I was happily creating for my albums.

Inspired by the Blog Celebration challenges posted on Am I a Scrap Addict , I was able to finish a page for my youngest Granddaughter's first year album.

The layout challenge may be found here # 23

My Granddaughter Sophia, helped put together her Papa's Birthday cake, while they were home for a visit.
My Grandmother's Chocolate Mayo Cake recipe was his Birthday Cake choice.

I included Grandmother Jones Recipe into the layout so that Sophia will have this in her book for future memories to come.
She became fast friends with the little Rag doll I put together over the winter.. made her grandmother very happy : ) For me ...this is what crafting is all about !

Challenge 24 may be found here.

Inspired by this challenge to create a Birthday Card for my niece for her Birthday dinner Saturday last.

Challenge 25 may be found here.

So ,that's it for now...except.... I now have ink and hope to squeeze in another challenge or 2.
"Am I a Scrap Addict" Blog Challenge ...you still have time if you would like to join in on the celebration !!
